When Notification Service logging is enabled, a log file named NSLOG.log is written to the logging subdirectory of the Active Administrator Server installation. The log file contains detailed trace information and is time stamped. The log file can be configured to roll over after a specified size has been reached. Also, the log file can be configured to restart when the Notification Service is restarted. To enable Notification Service logging, follow the steps provided below.
STEPS:
Start the Active Administrator Server Management application
On the file menu bar, select Tools then select Settings
Select the Advanced tab
Under logging, click the Configure button
Under Notification Service Logging check the Enable Notification Service logging checkbox
In the textbox provided, enter the maximum log file size. When the limited is reached the log file will be overwritten, to prevent this set the value to zero.
To ensure a new log is created when the Notification Service is started, check the Start a new log file when the service is started checkbox, this will delete an existing file.
The file is named NSLOG.LOG and should exist in the LOGGING subdirectory of the AA Server installation (default C:\Program Files\ScriptLogic Corporation\Active Administrator 5\Server\Logging\)
