After stopping the NetVault Services, NetVault will scan all networks for clients and if you have hundreds of clients, it will sit there "Scanning for clients" for a long period of time.
1. Launch the NetVault Configurator, stop services
2. Click on the Network Tab, then “Connections”
3. Enter in the line that says “Comma Separated List of Networks & Addresses Not To Resolve To”, actual addresses within your Network
3a. (examples: 10.8.0.0, 10.1.1.0, 169.254.0.0, 255.255.0.0)
4. Once you’ve entered them all, click Apply & restart your services
This will make the process not take as long, which is good when you have 100’s of clients to scan, after stopping/restarting services.
