In Foglight Experience Viewer (FxV), we added SSL Certificate our own company created but still get IE certificate error in security status bar. The name for this cert is *.ourcompany.com, issued by one of our internal groups. In spite of this, we are still able to go on and access all the pages.
Because this is a certificate you have issued to yourselves (self-signed cert), IE will always show this a small certificate error in browser in the security status bar next to the address bar (just like Quest's own self-signed certificate does--see SOL86711). (Alternatively, you could also be getting a certificate error because the URL of the site the cert was issued to isn't matching the what the URL the browser is actually going to).
Either ignore the error or get a certificate that exactly matches the name of the server, issued by a recognized certificate authority.
