When adding a Netvault SmartDisk repository or updating an existing one, the error 'Unable to connect to remote server' appears.
A possible cause is that the percolator slave has failed on the NSVD device and has stopped listening to the vRanger Server.
To verify this:
On the NVSD windows machine, run the following -
1. cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest Software\NetVault SmartDisk\foundation\bin
2. smartdisk.bat status (this should show the result: "Failed to connect Percolator Slave"
Run the command 'smartdisk.bat restart'
If this returns an error message, then restart the Netvault SmartDisk server.
