Oracle APM 5.0 backup job fails with "Failed to get list of tablespaces using backup list" (81655)

Application Information - Oracle 10.0.2.x & Oracle 9i


Symptoms:
When attempting to run a backup job for an Oracle Database under the Oracle 5.0 the job fails with:

Error 2007/09/24 10:30:32 254 Data Plugin nv_kerri Database selected, but cannot get the list of tablespaces
Job Message 2007/09/24 10:30:33 0 Data Plugin nv_kerri Program Finished with exit code -1073741502
Error 2007/09/24 10:30:33 254 Data Plugin nv_kerri Failed to connect to Oracle. Check account/password on Backup Job.


SQL*Plus connection works correctly with same user and password.

1) In service control edit the Netvault Process Manager Service
2) On the LogOn tab, select "Allow service to interact with desktop"
3) Confirm
4) Restart the service.
