When trying to create media files using nvmakemedia, either using the poplib or the mediafiles parameter, the creation fails with the message
Creating media file c:\test (52428800 bytes)...
Failed to get admin SID: Assignments of account names and security identifiers wasn't executed
Failed to create c:\test
This seems to either a restriction of the nvmakemedia utility or the configuration of the operating system and is currently being investigated under fault NVG-5317.
There are two other ways of obtaining empty media files:
a) Use the Windows "fsutil" utility to create empty files of the desired size. The syntax is "fsutil file createnew ".
b) Identify an existing VTL media file, blank it in an existing NetVault VTL, and copy it, renaming it as need.
