Description: After upgrading the Teradata APM to version 12.0 or higher, Specifying the client can only be done for restores of types Full, User Script, and Full Clustered (Copy to a different Teradata configuration).

However, if the backup was taken with a pre-12.0 version of the Teradata APM, there will not be an option in the pulldown menu.

An attempt to restore a cluster backup fails, with the following log entry:

"User-specified client is only allowed when copying to a different configuration"

Workaround:

In the "Run Job on Client" field, highlight the client name that is listed and manually type . This will allow the restore/copy job to run as expected.

Any backups taken with the 12.0 (and above) version of the plugin will have " " listed in the dropdown.
