Description: How to re-add a VTL after clean re-install of NetVault
Symptoms: Customer has to do a clean reinstall of NetVault, but doesn't want to lose the data or have to recreate their Virtual Tape Library.
1. Take note of the full path to where your VTL is located
(i.e. C:\Virtual\ for Windows or /Virtual/ in *nix)
2. Stop NetVault service
3. Navigate to the ...netvault/config/ directory and open diskdevices.cfg in your
favorite editor
4. Under [Libraries], enter the full path to your virtual library, (e.g.
location=C:\Virtual in Windows or /Virtual in *nix)
5. Under [Drives], enter the full path to your virtual library drives, (e.g.
location=C:\Virtual\drives\1 in Windows or /Virtual/drives/1 in *nix)
Increment the drive number for the amount of drives that you have.
NOTE: This functionality does not extend to the movement of an SVTL .
Due to the internal operations of the SVTL this is not possible or supported
