Description:
Oracle RMAN backup fails with ORA-01005 error - null password given


Symptoms:
NetVault fail with error ORA-01005. The following stack traces are logged.

RMAN-04005: error from target database:
ORA-01005: null password given; logon denied.
Failed with exit code 1

RMAN backups from CLI succeed.

From the NetVault backup window, right-click the database under the Oracle APM for the client and select "Remove Saved Password" from the menu list. The Password variable stored in NetVault is now blank, and must be set again from "Set Database Password".
