Job in stuck in waiting for media state.
This means that the job is unable to initiate data transfer due to the fact that the required drive tape combination is unavailable.
The reason for this may be:
 The tape and/or tape drive needed may be in use by another backup or restore job
 The tape drive/s may be down
 The required tape may not be loaded within the tape library
 The Reuse Media option was not selected for the job, therefore the job will only use Blank Media
To Determine exactly what tape is needed and why the current job is waiting for media:
While the job is still running.
 Go to Job Manager
 Select the Job that is waiting for media
 Right Click & select "Diagnose Job".
This will supply you with the media ID target options needed to perform the job & with a list of the current media & tape drives available within the library (if present) & reasons why they cannot be used.
Before you open a support case please do a ' diagnose job'
as explained in the above procedure and perform a binary log dump, and deliver this output to support.
