Considerations on moving SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to a different server

RESOLUTION:

In the event that SSRS has to be moved to a different server, please keep the following in mind in regards to the Active Roles Reporting requirements:

1. If you are only moving the SSRS service but not the databases (i.e. Collector database, Active Roles database) then you could run into a double hop authentication issue. See the links below for more information
2. The Active Roles Report Pack will need to be installed on the new SRS server

If you are also moving databases then:

1. Re-run and update Collector to point to the new SQL server
2. Refer to Solution 187211 for how to properly move the Active Roles databases:
