When manually providing credentials for a vWorkspace connection you can use either the traditional format of username, password & domain, or UPN account name and password. When using the UPN format (vdi@vworkspace.com) it is not required to specify a domain.
The vWorkspace connector for iPad supports both these credential types but in the current 1.1 release requires a domain name be specified.

iPad (v2.0 Build 68) doesn't support UPNsuffix in the username field
For vWorkspace Connector for iPad 1.1 and earlier:
The credentials entry screen requires that all fields be populated so that in the case of using a UPN account name it produces an error when no domain is specified.
