The FMS keeps crashing and after reviewing the support bundle, there is a JVM crash. The header of the file looks like this:
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
# java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: requested 17179869200 bytes for Chunk::new. Out of swap space?
# Internal Error (allocation.cpp:215), pid=31595, tid=1100667200
# Error: Chunk::new
This is a issue with the SUN jvm: http://bugs.sun.com/view_bug.do?bug_id=6973402
RESOLUTION:
Upgrade to jvm verison equal to or higher than 1.6.0_21
The nature of the JVM crashes is that they are unpredictable. You may never see this issue again.
You can either, leave it as is (after restarting the FMS) or upgrade the JRE to the fixed version.
We do not have the link to the fixed version as the software belongs to Sun, you will have to download it.
Below are the instructions for upgrading the JRE on the FMS.
- Upgrading the JVM/JRE

The FMS produced a hs_err_pid*.log when the FMS crashed, this file is created where this is an issue with the JVM.
This means the JVM crashed and took the FMS with it.
