The following error is logged in a wlog file of a users mailbox:
HH:MM:SS ERROR: ExternalAttachment.OpenStreamOnFile:
HH:MM:SS [80070005] Access is denied.
HH:MM:SS ERROR: Unable to get message checksums:
HH:MM:SS Attachment2.get_Data
HH:MM:SS Error 0x80070005
This error occurs when the Archive Manager ESM service has attempted to export a link target rather than the linked attachment itself.
For instance, when a shortcut to a file contained on a local machine is sent in an email and the Exchange Store Manager service has no access to the file share, this error is thrown.
As such this error can be safely ignored.
DefectID ST72739 has been raised to address this issue in a future release of Archive Manager.
