When attempting to add VDIs/ VMs to a vWorkspace Desktop Group, the VDIs/ VMs are added however during initialization the following status message is displayed:
Remote computer belongs to another computer group (has a different computer id). (42007)
Retry will occur automatically if necessary.
The virtual machines then go into an offline state.
The virtual machines are also currently members of another vWorkspace Desktop Group or have not been correctly removed from a previous group.
To Resolve the issue, follow the steps below:
Quest does not provide support for problems that arise from improper modification of the registry. The Windows registry contains information critical to your computer and applications. Make sure you back up the registry before modifying it.
