When attempting to manage a VMware Virtual Center infrastructure from vWorkspace you are unable to import/create/update Virtual Machine information.
Within a Connection Broker log you will see the following error message:
CJvmBase::__handleException: Java exception message: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
The message means that the JRE has used all available memory allocated to it.
By default the Java JRE only allocates 64MB of RAM to the JRE for operations.
To increase the allocated memory for the JRE:
1. Launch REGEDIT.EXE
2. Browse to: HKLM\Software\Provision Networks\VDI
3. Create a new STRING (REG_SZ) value called: MaxMemAllocPoolSize
4. Set the value of this higher than 64M (64 MegaBytes) and must be a multiple of 4.
By default, the Support Desk will increase this value to 256M
5. Restart the Connection Broker service.
Please note that 256M is the default value in version 7.x and could need increasing to 512M for very large environments
***Note: This must be done on each Connection Broker in a vWorkspace Farm
