When adding a VDI machine to a desktop group in the vWorkspace or Virtual Access Suite console you may receive the error message, Error: Access code is invalid (12)
This error is usually caused when a Template computer is built and then added to the vWorkspace or Virtual Access Suite console to install PNTools.
To resolve the issue outlined in the Problem Description section of this article, please follow the instructions below.

1. Login to the VDI machine reporting this error and stop the Data Collector Service.
2. Launch REGEDIT and browse to:
HKLM\Software\Provision Networks\Common
3. Delete the Value:
i. PublicKey
ii. ComputerID
iii. LLMServerList
4. Restart the Data Collector service
* NOTE: If this is happening during cloning of new VDI computers, the Template machine should have the above procedure done to it as it is the root of the issue. Convert your Template computer to a VM, start it and perform the steps above. Once completed, shutdown the VM and convert it back to a Template.
