Some Exchange servers may experience high memory and processor utilization for the Exchange Information Store process called store.exe, shortly after the ChangeAuditor for Exchange agent is started. This issue is prevalent for, but not limited to Exchange servers running Windows 2003, Exchange 2007 and in a CCR (Cluster Continuous Replication) configuration.
Before installing or upgrading the ChangeAuditor for Exchange agents, please contact technical support for further detailed information.
If you are currently experiencing Exchange issues as described above, please disable the ChangeAuditor for Exchange agent and contact Quest Technical Support for further details.
To disable the ChangeAuditor for Exchange agent:
1. Select Start | Run | Type "services.msc" .
2. Select the "Quest Compliance Agent" service | Properties.
3. Change the "Startup type:" field to "disabled" | Select "Apply".
4. Stop the service.
We have identified the root cause of the problem and the fix will be included in the next release of ChangeAuditor v4.9 scheduled to be released on Friday, July 31, 2009. If you are currently experiencing Exchange issues as described above, please disable the ChangeAuditor for Exchange agent and contact Quest Support for further details. If the stated release schedule does not meet your timelines, please contact Quest Support to obtain a manual patch.
