Querying Oracle Spatial objects using Toad for Oracle does not generate the expected results. Oracle Spatial Geometry Type Objects does not display correctly in Toad. Querying such table using SQLPlus generates the following output:
SQL> select * from mylake;
FEATURE_ID NAME
---------- --------------------------------
SHAPE(SDO_GTYPE, SDO_SRID, SDO_POINT(X, Y, Z), SDO_ELEM_INFO, SDO_ORDINATES)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10 Lake Calhoun
SDO_GEOMETRY(2003, NULL, NULL, SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1, 1003, 1, 19, 2003, 1), SDO
_ORDINATE_ARRAY(0, 0, 10, 0, 10, 10, 0, 10, 0, 0, 4, 4, 6, 4, 6, 6, 4, 6, 4, 4))
Querying the same table in Toad for Oracle (9.6.1 and 9.7) yields the following via F5 - run as script (same results in data grid via F9):
FEATURE_ID NAME
---------- --------------------------------
SHAPE
--------------------------------------------------
