During the Quest (InTrust) Knowledge Portal installation you receive an error similiar to the following:
"Could not create an application at the specified location. You must create it manually after you finish the setup. See documentation for details."
The setup then rolls back.
In the Application event log eventID 1013 may also be logged with the following desription:
"Product Quest Knowledge Portal 1.0 - Error create COM+ application: {6333DFAD-4DA4-40F3-9BEC-1192BF9A8E61}"
The service "Distributed Transaction Coordinator" or "Com+ System Application" service is stopped or set to disabled.
Verify the service states are not disabled. Set the service "Distributed Transaction Coordinator" and "Com+ System Application" to Automatic and start the services.
