Description

Users working in offline or restricted environments may need to activate their subscription license without direct internet access from the application.
Cause

Offline environments prevent the application from communicating directly with Quest licensing services, requiring the use of an offline license file.
Resolution
Follow these steps to activate your Offline Subscription License:

Open a web browser and navigate to the Quest Licensing Portal:

https://licensing.ism.quest.com/
1. Sign in with your Quest account.
2. Register your license number if it has not already been registered.
3. Locate the license and select Download Offline License.
4. Download the license XML file to your computer.
5. Launch the Quest application.
6. At startup, click Add Offline License.
7. Select I have an Offline Subscription License File (License XML).
8. Browse to the downloaded XML file and select it.
9. Apply the license.
10. Verify that the application launches successfully and that the license status shows as activated.
Additional Information

Offline Subscription Licenses are intended for environments where the software cannot access the internet for licensing validation. The downloaded XML file contains the licensing information required to activate the product locally. If the license file expires or is renewed, a new offline license file may need to be downloaded from the Quest Licensing Portal and applied to the application.
