Steps to generate Offline license Activation for erwin DM Customers
Offline activation involves two roles:
Licensing Admin
End User
Each role completes a separate part of the process in the License Portal and the erwin DM Desktop application.
The License Admin prepares the license and enables the end user for offline activation.
Sign in to the License Portal Licensing Portal and select the license that will be used for offline activation.

Select your license, click Manage, go to Settings, and turn on the Offline Support toggle. This allows the license to support offline activation.

Go to the Users tab and select the user who requires offline activation.
If the user is not already listed, add the user’s email address.

The End User generates the offline request code in erwin DM and completes the offline device activation steps.
Generate the activation file in erwin DM. Launch erwin Data Modeler and select the License File option, this enables the Generate button for the activation code.
Click Generate and save the file in text format. Keep it somewhere easy to find, as you will need it in the next step.
