How to launch Space Manger from Spotlight? (4383852)

Space Manager and Spotlight are installed on the same machine. Both applications are running with the latest editions with having their own licenses. However, the Space Manager option is disabled in Spotlight.

Workaround:

1. Ensure the Space Manager with LiveReorg 9.2.0.18 and Spotlight on Oracle 11.0 or later versions are installed. Space Manager download page  Spotlight on Oracle download page
2.  Each product must be licensed individually with valid licenses
3. Add a valid Oracle connection in Spotlight
4. Open machine's Register, run RegEdit on Windows Search
   1. Locate "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{FAF8D036-4F45-4792-BAD2-E1A61FA7A809}\"
   2. From right-click menu, add a new Key and name it: "LocalServer32"
   3. Modify the Data field on the right hand side and add the installation path of Space Manger, for example: "C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Space Manager 9.2\SpaceManager.exe"
5. Restart Spotlight
