Within Quest, the erwin license number serves as a unique identifier that is referenced by multiple internal and external systems involved in licensing, entitlement management, support, maintenance, and product administration. Because the license number is used as a key reference across several integrated systems, changing it could create inconsistencies and impact license tracking and entitlement validation.
Changing an existing erwin license number is not supported. The license number is a permanent identifier that is utilized by several Quest systems and business processes. As a result, the license number cannot be modified.
