An enhancement has been identified to allow configurability of how the alerts cause agent restarts, and to expand the intervals by default to minimize agent restarts due to connection issues.
WORKAROUND:
A registry setting can be used to disable automatic agent restarts, which may help stabilize the environment. It is recommended to test this by modifying the registry value below and then restarting the ADS and AFS services to evaluate whether the behavior improves.
Registry value to update:
Go to Key: HKLM/SOFTWARE/Quest/Active Administrator/Settings/ADS
In this location either update, or create the DWORD value "DAAgentMonitoringEnabled" setting it to "0"
This will stop the process that restarts the AD Health Agents on lost connection, or high mem / CPU usage. Once the ADS and AFS services are restarted the agents should stop restarting and triggering workload reevaluations.
