Description

When navigating to the Packages, Procedures, Functions, or Triggers tabs in the Schema Browser, Toad for Oracle returns the following error:

ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

This prevents users from viewing or interacting with these database objects.
Cause

The schema user does not have SELECT privileges on required Oracle data dictionary tables. Toad relies on these internal tables to retrieve metadata for objects such as packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
Resolution
Grant the necessary SELECT privileges on the required data dictionary tables.

Steps:
1. Identify the required data dictionary tables (varies by Oracle version and feature usage).
2. Contact the DBA.
3. Request SELECT privileges for the affected schema user on the necessary dictionary views or tables.
4. After privileges are granted, reconnect in Toad.
5. Reopen the Schema Browser and verify that the object tabs now load without error.
