Trying to install a license file and always receiving the following error: “Invalid license", although it is supposed to be valid.
Locked or missing permissions in the ProductLicenses.xml file under the C:\AppData\Quest folder
Check the folder C:\AppData\Quest and locate the file ProductLicenses.xml. Rename or delete this file. Please note:
If other Quest products are installed on the same server, their licenses are also stored in this file.
Renaming or deleting the file will remove the license information for all Quest applications on the server.
Afterward, all license files must be reapplied.
If the issue cannot be resolved directly, you can apply the license in a test environment and then copy the newly generated ProductLicenses.xml file to the affected server.
