Can the Sign In button be disabled in Toad for Oracle?

No, there is currently no way to suppress or disable the Sign In button in Toad for Oracle.

This is expected behavior and by design.

Offline (Legacy) Licensing

If a user is using a legacy Quest Key (offline license):

• Signing in is not required
• The product will function normally without authentication

However:

• The Sign In option will still be visible in the interface
• There is no configuration or setting to remove it

What happens if a user signs in?

Signing in to Toad for Oracle is safe and does not negatively affect existing licenses.

• Existing licenses (including legacy Quest Keys) continue to work normally
• If the user account is new, a trial subscription license may be automatically assigned
• This trial does not override or replace any valid existing license

Data Usage and Privacy

Toad for Oracle uses sign-in strictly for licensing and AI feature access purposes.

• Sign-in is used to retrieve and validate online licenses
• No additional or unrelated user data is collected or transmitted
