Toad For Oracle TNSNames Editor Does Not Properly Handle Files with Errors 2026R1 (4382671)

In recent versions of Toad for Oracle, the TNSNames Editor does not handle files containing errors as effectively as version 25.3 and prior. Some TNSNames entries may be missing, and errors are not displayed when performing a Syntax Check.

This issue is caused by a defect introduced in newer versions of Toad for Oracle affecting the TNSNames Editor functionality.

Resolution

1. This issue has been identified and a fix is planned for a future release.
2. Upgrade to Toad for Oracle 2026 R2 once it becomes available.
3. After upgrading, open the TNSNames Editor and verify that all entries are displayed correctly.
4. Run the Syntax Check again and confirm that errors are properly detected and shown.
