It is known that frequent topology changes or topology churn can have a negative impact on the performance of a Foglight environment.
Is it possible to get alarms and email notifications when topology churn is high and needs to be addressed?
The Catalyst Number of Topology History Versions Check rule generates Warning alarms when the number of topology history versions is bigger than the specified threshold.
Out of the box, the rule does not send email notifications and would need to be customized to include an EmailAction.
STATUS
Enhancement request ISMTS-425 for allowing the alarm to be managed from the Alarm Templates has been submitted to development for consideration in a future release of Foglight.
