How to display User Names in the permissions display ?
Currently, our samAccountNames are UserIDs. These are displayed when showing NTFS permissions on files/folders. Is there a way to also display the user Name or displayname?
At this time, there is no direct way to display the user Name or displayName in the NTFS permissions view. The product relies on samAccountName (UserID) as returned by Active Directory, and this behavior cannot be customized.
For now, workaround is to right click on the samaccountname and look at Active Directory Properties.
