Can I search the Archive Manager database and export search results without being an Administrator? (4381692)

A user needs to search across all mailboxes ("All Users") and export those search results (e.g., for legal discovery), but they should not be given full "Administrator" privileges to the entire Archive Manager configuration.

By default, standard users can only search and export their own archived mailboxes. The ability to search the entire archive ("Search All Emails") is restricted to Administrators unless a specific Security Role is configured.

You do not need to make the user a full  Administrator. You can grant specific "Security Actions" to a custom role in the Archive Manager Administration Website.

1. Log in to the Archive Manager Administration Website as an admin.
2. Navigate to Security Roles, create a new role (e.g., "Compliance Officer"), and add the Search All Emails and Export Email security actions to this role.
3. Once the role is created, navigate to the Logins section, locate the user you wish to grant access to, and assign this new Security Role to their account.
4. The user will now see the "Search All Emails" checkbox and "Export" button in their interface without having access to system configuration settings.
