How to increase the DC monitoring limit for ADH agent?
The default limit for ADH agents are 25 DC's.
This limit was initially chosen as a balance of agent performance vs the number of agents that could be managed. This limit is adjustable by using a registry key. At this point it would be for the user to determine if their agent hosts have plenty of CPU / Memory to spare and can increase the number of DCs per agent, or if they would rather provision additional agents and double up site monitoring to allow the agents to load balance the number of DCs managed between them.
If the user wishes to increase the number of DC per agent they can adjust the following registry key on Active Administrator service host machine:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Quest\ActiveAdministrator\Settings\ADS
In this key find the value "DAAgentMaxLoad" whilch is a DWORD with a default value of 25.
If the user adjusts this number restart the ADS service to rebalance with the new load limit. This will also be done once per day if the user wants to wait for the automatic rebalance.
