When planning to use cloud storage (AWS S3 Bucket) to store AD backups. To push the backups to the AWS S3 bucket from the RMAD console, can IAM roles be used?
As of version 10.3.2 and per the requirements described in the technical documentation below, RMAD DRE currently only supports using an IAM account with an access key and rights policy (at least LIST and WRITE access to the S3 bucket where the RMAD backups are to be stored) to add an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Storage:
However, there are plans to implement the support of IAM roles in the upcoming release of RMAD DRE 10.4 (Target Release date should be early 2026)
