Resolution
Toad Data Studio does not support Microsoft Fabric or its native components such as OneLake, Lakehouse, DirectLake, Serverless SQL Pools, Power BI Datasets, or Dataflows/Notebooks.
Officially supported databases:
- Azure SQL Database – Fully supported via the “Microsoft SQL Azure” connection option
- Snowflake – Fully supported
- Azure Databricks – Official support is scheduled for the 2025 R2 release
At this time, Azure Synapse Analytics (including Dedicated SQL Pools) is not listed as a supported data source in Toad Data Studio. Since there is no explicit connector or UI option for Synapse, we cannot confirm full compatibility, and therefore, not officially supported.
