a licensing problem at the customer. They are getting some errors at lan nalpeiron/licensing. We need support to regenerate the license tomorrow
This issue is caused by either a change being made to the License in Nalpeiron usually the Maintenance end date or more likely the Server was not closed down cleanly
First we made a clean stop of the Daemon, this was to clear any possible corruptions. The next step was to Start the Daemon. We then had to complete the Product information on the line below, Customer ID is always 4877 and Product ID is always 100 The next step was to select create activation certificate from the drop down list, first it asks you for the license code this is 487722737156385900 click accept. Select the Copy to clipboard then paste the code into a text file and transfer it to a machine with Internet access. On the machine with Internet access navigate to: https://www.activationportal.me/selfservice/activation.aspx?Type=1&cid=7095&pid=5539&lang=en-US Scroll down and paste the code into the box Notice in the top left it says Activation Certificate, once you click Activate this will change to License copy the code and paste it into a text file and import back to the Daemon server On the daemon server click Done to close the window and then from the dropdown menu select Import Certificate First it will ask for the 18 character licnese code again, once you click accept it willopen the window where you can post the License code from your text file and once you click Apply it will overwrite the previous product license and you should se the word Activated. If for any reason you need to make changes to the Daemon server for example security patches, first Stop the Daemon server then make the updates and then restart the Daemon. If for any reason you do not get the green message to say Daemon has stopped then from the command line run the command: sudo kill -SIGHUP daemonPID the sighup will cause the daemon to shutdown properly but, from time to time, it will cause timestamp issues so is a last resort if the "stop" button in the daemon GUI shows an error.
