Coordinator log is displaying the error message "Cannot initialize NetApp RESTAPI client, return empty client instance"
Description
Able to create an audit template and pass credentials on the Change Auditor Client, but an error message is displayed in the Coordinator log.
- Unable to connect to cluster mode filer <NETAPP Filer Name>; Cannot initialize NetApp RESTAPI client, return empty client instance error in the agent log.
Resolution
On the Change Auditor Agent server, set the TLS of the server to only TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 and this must resolve the issue.
You can manage TLS protocols manually using the Registry Editor (regedit)
1. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols
2. Look for protocol folders (e.g., TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3).
3. Under the protocol folder, ensure there are subkeys named Client and Server.
4. Inside each, a DWORD value named Enabled should be set to 1 (Enabled) or 0 (Disabled).
5. Note: You must reboot the server for registry changes to take effect
