When trying the Purge data option in ApexSQL Audit GUI the error "An error occurred while processing request on central instance" comes up.
The log file for the Central shows the following message:
ERROR [CENTRAL]: An exception occurred
Invalid object name 'ArchiveCrd_xxxxxxx_xxxxx.ApexSql.ApplicationName'.
This is caused by a central database archive being either moved locations or deleted all together. The application keeps a reference to this archive but when it tries to access it, it cannot find the database.
Option 1:
Restore the database to the original location and try the purge once again.
Option 2:
Go to Options - Reporting - Data sources and remove the archive from the list. This archive will no longer appear in the list to try the purge.
