SMTP exchange online and Office 365 notification.
From version 5.17, it has changed from client ID to Certificate. Need more information on the certificate and how we issue this?

You can have a corporate certificate or a self-signed certificate.
Notes
The verification with Exchange Online does not go to outlook.office.365.com, the verification endpoint is "https:\\login.microsoftonline.com". You must be able to access this access point to be able to verify the credentials.
Additionally, the certificate being used must be installed in Microsoft Online so that it can be verified when entered by the user.
Last, the email address being used must be a mailbox that exists in Microsoft Office 365.
