For Toad version 16.3 and newer, the download new release page will list out the option for Full, Web and MSI (Special Installation Only)
The download and installation is based off of the license key. In this case the only thing you need to consider is the bit version. Toad's bit version must match the Oracle client bit version. The products and features installed and enabled will be based off the license key you register during the installation.
Web Installer - This is intended to be used by end users. This installer will configure itself based on the supplied license key and only download those components selected by the end user. This download file size is small but it requires an active internet connection to download the required files in the background, during the installation process.
Full Installer - This is intended to be used by users and administrators in cases where background download-on-demand of individual Suite components is impractical or not preferred.
After downloading and running the installer, it will list out the applications available to you for installation based off the key you register. This is a larger file size to download, but doesn't require an internet connection to install, once it is downloaded, and is more like an offline installer.
MSI (special installation) - This is the msi version of the installation, as opposed to the other exe versions. This can be used for silent install or if there are issues or limitations in the environment with using exe installers.
Downloading the MSI version will download a .zip file which contains multiple product .MSI files. Please choose the one which is for your license key. They can only be installed with a commercial key for the particular product, and are not bundled to work with a Suite key for example. All the MSI files are individual products only.
