Is there any plan for Spotlight to move to newer versions of Microsoft Visual C++?
Description
Customers report concerns regarding spotlight dependency on MS Visual C++ 2010 and Visual C++ 2013 (msvcr100.dll, msvcr120.dll, vccorlib120.dll ) which are End-of-Life.
Cause
Enhancement request ID SES-2015.
Resolution
SOLUTION:
Issue fixed in Issue fixed in version 15 (the Microsoft.SqlServer.Types package version was upgraeded from 11.0.1 to 160.1000.6.) . The latest version of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise can be downloaded here.
