Title
New SDA recently deployed in Hyper-V keeps rebooting in a loop -
Description
After deploying a brand-new SDA in a Hyper-V environment using our Hyper-V VM templates, the SDA keeps rebooting in a loop. -
Cause
The SDA and SMA Hyper-V VM templates comes preconfigured with the same static MAC address 00-15-5D-00-03-20 -
Resolution
To resolve this issue, the SDA VM MAC address must be changed.
Follow the next steps to change the MAC address:
- Open the Hyper-V Manager
- Power off the SDA VM
- Right-click the SDA VM, and click on Settings
- Look and expand Network adapters, and click Advanced Features
- Click the checkbox to enable Dynamic MAC Address
- Power on the VM and confirm a new MAC address was assigned
- Power off the VM
- Navigate to Settings> Network adapters> Advanced Features
- Select Static MAC address
- Power the SDA back on
- Confirm the issue was resolved
