Oracle ASM agent doesn't apply changes to "Connect as" parameter (4374412)

The Oracle ASM agent was originally set up to Connect as SysASM.

After changing this parameter in the Connection Details screen to Connect as SysDBA, validating the connectivity and saving changes, the Oracle ASM agent keeps trying to use SysASM.

WORKAROUND.

Change the user type in Database User Type and ASM Instances from the Agent Status Dashboard.

1. Open the Agent Status dashboard (Administration | Agents | Agent Status)
2. Select the Oracle ASM agent (DB_Oracle_ASM) and click Edit Properties
3. Click Modify the private properties for this agent
4. Change Database User Type to SysDBA or SysASM
5. Click Edit for the ASM Instances
6. Change Database User Type column to SysDBA or SysASM for each corresponding row where applicable, click Save on this dialog
7. Click Save in the lower-left corner to save all changes

STATUS.

Enhancement FGDBORA-I-67 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Foglight for Databases.
