Some of published users have multiple proxy addresses with the same namespace, eg.
noreply@company.com
firstname@company.com
firstname.lastname@company.com (primary SMTP address)
and company.com is the Namespace which is allowed under QCS properties. When creating the stub object QCS uses any of the listed above proxy addresses randomly, and this is causing inconvenience. What can be done?
The behavior described above was typical for all QCS versions up to 3.0 and has been changed in QCS 3.1.Release Notes reflect this change this way:
If source objects have SMTP addresses with the same namespaces specified, then Primary SMTP will be specified in the Target Address property of the created stub objects.
The statement is not very clear, but it means that if the user has multiple proxy addresses then the primary SMTP will be used when populating the targetAddress attribute.
Upgrading to QCS 3.1 will resolve the issue.
Important:During the upgrade QCS will populate the Namespace with all existing namespaces again.
Developers are aware of this and an official Change Request ST 65678 has been created.
After upgrading please examine the namespaces and if you notice unwanted namespaces remove them and then start a re-publication.
