Agent type will not appear in list when Create Agent in Agent Status dashboard. -
Description
"AgentType" (in our case, it was the FxM agent) will not appear in list when Create Agent in Agent Status dashboard.
The Fglam is up and running and checked into the FMS. It is a Fglam that is running on the FMS (it is NOT the embedded Fglam - it is an external Fglam)
The Agent Package HAS been deployed to the host (verified by checking /fglam_home/deployed and /fglam_home/agents)Issue restated: Agent Status | highlight host in question | Create Agent | FxM agent would not appear in agent type list.

Cause
FxM is an OOP (Out of Process) agent which spawns its own FglAm process.
You'll find the FglAM log in $FGLAM/state/default/process/FxM/logs folder.The cause may be found in the OOP FglAm log.

Resolution
- One customer chose to revert back to the embedded FglAm for resolution

Another found that the following procedure & redeployment of the FxM agent package resolved.
1) Removed fglam-client-pkg-FxMCartridge-Agent-External.gar file in $FGLAM/deploy/deployed directory
2) Removed $FGLAM/agents/FxM directory
3) Removed $FGLAM/state/default/process/FxM directory.
4) Redeployed FxM cartridge which completed in < 30 seconds.
5) Deployed FxM agent which now shows in Add Agent pop-up.
Note that AgentType may also not appear because:- fglam is not running - check Agent Hosts dashboard, restart Fglam- that AgentType is not compatible with that host - example: trying to deploy 'Process' agent on a Windows box- the AgentPackage HAS NOT been deployed to the host
