How to purge events from the Active Administrator Archive database. -
Cause
Events in the production database can be purged, or purged and archived (saved to a separate database structure before being removed from the production database). -
Resolution
Events cannot be purged from the Active Administrator Archive database. When the archive database begins to grow, create a new archive database structure with a different name. Go to the Active Administrator Server Management console and select Configuration |Archive Databases | New, then follow the menu.
When the previous Active Administrator Archive database(s) are no longer necessary for auditing or reporting purposes, delete them from the SQL server.
New archive databases can be created at any time, and as many databases can be maintained as the site finds to be convenient or necessary.
