Internal: How to Create a Web Portal API License (4350406)

Web Portal API License

A Web Portal License is needed to invoke the Data Modeler API to import models into Web Portal. This license is not counted against a user’s existing Data Modeler licenses.

Note:

-An existing Data Modeler license cannot be modified to become an API license

-An API license is included for a node locked Workgroup Data Modeler license

-A concurrent Workgroup Data Modeler license can also be used, so long as Data Modeler is running while the API is invoked

Steps:

-Login to Nalpeiron: https://my.nalpeiron.com/login.aspx

-Click the Wrench Icon and select Allocate Codes:

-Enter the following details:

Number of codes to allocate: 1

                 Code Profile: API Edition

                 Company: <Use Search to find Company>

                Reference: <Ticket Number>

-Click Allocate Codes

-The resulting code will appear in the section below. Click “Download set of codes”

-Open the text file downloaded and copy the license code. Use this to search in Nalpeiron:

-Edit this license and adjust "Maintenance End Date" to match the customer’s Web Portal License:

-Save the license. Then provide this code to the customer with our license disclaimer.
