Outlook user receives NotesActiveMail.nsf attachment when Notes user forwards a meeting invite

 A Notes user that has not been migrated to Exchange or Office 365 forwards a meeting invite to a Notes user that has been migrated to Exchange or Office 365 yet. The user in Outlook receives the meeting invite with NotesActiveMail.nsf attachment.

Enhancement Request TFS332763 has been submitted to Development to add this behavior to the Admin Guide so it can be expected.

When a meeting invite is forwarded from a Notes user to a user that has been migrated to Exchange or Office 365, this process will involve mail flow and Mail Connector will be used. Standard Notes Calendar template may have rich markups, tables, forms, etc. These are the triggers of Active Mail. The Mail Connector sees them and processes the message and generates NotesActiveMail.nsf file and the user in Outlook will see NotesActiveMail.nsf as attachment. If this process is performed natively where Mail Connector is not configured, the user in Outlook may receive *.ics, *.gif, *.htm in the attachment and the body of the received mail may be even blank.
