The following two additional Provision Filters can be added to the Directory Connector in order to more strictly filter the Notes objects that get synced to Exchange as contacts:
Filter 1: Verify that the Notes object has an "Internet Address" that contains a "@" symbol.
1. Open the CMN Management Console.
2. Locate the Notes to Exchange Directory Connector
3. Right-click on the connector and select Advanced Settings.
4. Click the object type tab that needs to be modified, Users, Groups or Resources.
5. Click the Provision Filters tab.
6. Highlight the "mail" filter
7. Click Edit.
8. Click Attribute.
9. Select "Source Attribute: mail".
10. Click OK.
11. Click the Contains operator in the middle of the window.
12. In the Value box type the "@" character.
13. Click OK.
14. Repeat the steps above for the "mail2" filter.
15. Save, Activate, and Run the connector.
Filter 2: Verify that the Notes object's MailSystem attribute is set to "1", meaning that they have a Notes mail file.

4. Click the object type tab that needs to be modified, Users, Groups or Resources.
5. Click the Provision Filters tab.
6. Highlight the "mail" filter
7. Click Edit.
8. Click Attribute.
9. Select "Source Attribute: MailSystem".
10. Click OK.
11. Click the "Is(exactly)" operator in the middle of the window.
12. In the Value box type the "1" character.
13. Click OK.
14. Repeat the steps above for the "mail2" filter.
15. Save, Activate, and Run the connector.
