Is TCP port 8373 required to be open for deploying Microsoft Entra/Microsoft365 auditing templates to agents?
Description

I wish to customize the current port that the coordinator uses to communicate with the agents to deploy an Microsoft Entra/Microsoft365 auditing template. Currently the port is hard coded to use TCP port 8373.

WORKAROUND

Currently, you can customize the WCF port that the coordinator uses to communicate with the agents using a new agent configuration in combination with using the powershell modules to customize the configuration settings.

Below is an example of powershell commands that would connected to the "Default" installation and create a new agent configuration named "AzureConfig" that has the Agent Service port set to "12345":

Import-Module 'C:\Program Files\Quest\ChangeAuditor\Client\ChangeAuditor.powershell.dll'

$connection = Connect-CAClient -InstallationName 'Default'

$config = New-CAConfiguration -Connection $connection -ConfigurationName 'AzureConfig2'

Set-CAConfiguration -Connection $connection -Configuration $config -Port '12345'

Once the new configuration is created, the you can assign it to the desired agent, and then assign the Microsoft Entra/Microsoft365 templates to the agent.

The following enhancement request has been created for allowing this port to be customized using the GUI:
